Dating

We met in December 2010 and started dating in July 2014. He is silly and funny and smart and pretty much one of my limbs. We both knew fairly early on that this is it! We will be annoying each other for the rest of our lives.

Engagement

Date: 19 October 2016

Location: Old Mac Daddy, Elgin

What a great day and surprise! A helicopter flight to Old Mac Daddy in the Elgin Valley, a tractor ride to Daddy’s Hideaway (a luxury tented camp perched atop a secluded valley), a hidden photographer to capture the moment, champagne and roses. Awesome is an understatement. Dinner that evening and some wine tasting, cycling and supping the next day. An amazing getaway and so much effort and planning. Blessed with the best!

Wedding

Date: 29 July 2018

Location: Constantia, Cape Town

We decided to spend our money on our honeymoon and not a big, fancy wedding. So we rented a house in Constantia on Air BnB and had a small ceremony with parents, siblings and grandparents there to witness. Canapes and champagne after and back in pajamas by 7pm. We did want some nice photos of us on the day so splurged on the photographer and outfits.

Honeymoon

Date: 30 July – 28 August 2018

Location: UK, Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Greece

We left the next day for our month long adventure in Europe. We had an awesome time and enjoyed every city we visited. With early mornings and lots of walking and navigating we managed not to stab each other, bonus. And luckily we ended with a few days of good food and lounging on the beach in Mykonos.
